The President of the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (Diyanet):

It Is Pleased that Iranian Pilgrims Will Participate in the Hajj Rituals This Year

Mehmet Görmez in the meeting with the Iranian ambassador to Turkey and Iranian cultural attaché in Turkey stated: "It is pleased that Iranian pilgrims will participate in the Hajj rituals this year".

According to the Public Relations of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Mohammad Ebrahim Taherian Fard, the Iranian ambassador to Ankara and Hassan Safarkhani, the Iranian cultural attaché in Turkey attended the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (Diyanet) and met with Mehmet Görmez, the President of the Organization.

In this meeting, Taherian Fard referred to his visit to border provinces and meeting with governors and local authorities and the presence of Iranian guests in Nowruz holidays in Turkey and security and safety which were provided for the Iranian guests in Turkey and then appreciated the efforts made by the President of the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (Diyanet) for Hajj al-Tamattu.

Expressing satisfaction the development of relations between the two countries, Mehmet Görmez referred to spiritual programs in Iran and Turkey on the occasion of Laylat al-Raghaib (the first Thursday night of Rajab which has especial rituals) and stated that this is one of the religious commonalities between the two countries.

The President of the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (Diyanet) expressed satisfaction for the presence of Iranian pilgrims in the Hajj rituals this year and emphasized on the need to the formation of the board of scholars between Iran and Turkey.

Then, explaining some provisions of the agreements between Iran and Saudi Arabia for Hajj al-Tamattu, Hassan Safarkhani, the Iranian cultural attaché in Turkey, stated that the efforts made by the Iranian authorities for solving the problems paved the way for the presence of Iranian pilgrims in the Hajj rituals this year.

Then the Iranian cultural attaché in Turkey expressed hope that necessary measures be taken to pave the way for the appropriate presence of Iranian pilgrims.
