Emphasizing on the beginning of the new era of comprehensive relations between the two countries, Jaber al-Jabri in the meeting with the Iranian cultural attaché in Iraq stated: "Strengthening the cultural ties between Iran and Iraq is one of the priorities".
According to the Public Relations of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Jaber al-Jabri, the Iraqi Deputy Minister of Culture, attended the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Iraq and met with Hujjat al-Islam Gholam Reza Abazari, the Iranian cultural attaché in Iraq.
Congratulating the New Year to the Supreme Leader, the Iranian people and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Jaber al-Jabri wished a year full of prosperity for the people and government of Iran in all areas.
Referring to deep ties and many commonalities between the two nations in religious, social and ethnic areas, Jaber al-Jabri stated: "Today there are relations between the two countries in various fields of politics, diplomacy, economy and trade, but cultural ties and strengthening them are the most important aspects in this regard".
He continued: "It is hoped that in the new solar year we would see the expansion of cooperation and interaction in all cultural areas between the two countries".
Stating that cultural and artistic ties pave the way for both nations to make close their public opinion to each other more than ever, the Iraqi Deputy Minister of Culture said: "A new era has been started in relations between the two countries in the field of cultural and artistic relations and providing a joint cultural program between the two countries is of great importance".
He added: "It is clear that Iraq needs the experience of Iranian organizations, institutions as well as cultural and artistic figures and it is expected that like other areas the Islamic Republic of Iran will stand beside the Iraqi people in this area as well".
In this meeting, referring to the point that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready for the development of cultural relations between the two countries, the Iranian cultural attaché in Iraq stated: "The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to share its experiences in all fields of culture and art to Iraq and it is hoped that the Iraqi Ministry of Culture will pave the ways for the development of cultural relations between the two countries".
