Panel Discussion to Commemorate Ferdowsi, Khayyam in Kirgizstan

 

Iran cultural attaché in Kirgizstan held a Panel Discussion to Commemorate Hakim Aboqasem Ferdowsi and Hakim Omar Khayyam in Bishkek, Kirgizstan Republic.

According to the Public Relations of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), Kirgizstan’s Farsi Language and Literature University, Slavonic University, and International University were the cosponsors of the panel discussion in which a number of professors and students surveyed the personality and works of those internationally renowned Iranian literary personalities.

The panel discussion was held in the Ferdowsi Library of Bishkek University and began with screening of a video-clip on the personality of Hakim Omar Khayyam Neyshaburi.

Ali Hakimpur, the Iranian cultural attaché in Bishkek, in his opening address after expressing delight over holding the gathering, presented his paper titled ‘The Philosophical Viewpoints of Khayyam Neyshaburi.

Nurlanbek Baltayev, the head of Faculty of Farsi Language of Human Sciences University, too, spoke on Ferdowsi’s status in his country and the role played by his masterpiece, Shahnameh (Letter of the Kings) in preservation and expansion of the Farsi language throughout the broad Farsi language speaking territories.

Also Masumeh Mokarrami presented her paper on the personality of Ferdowsi and the status of Shahnameh among the Iranians.

Then the students presented their articles on the personality and quartets of Omar Khayyam.
