Japanese Radio-TV Network airs International Islamic Manga gathering

Through Cooperation of Iranian Cultural Mission in Tokyo, Japanese NHK Radio-TV channel broadcast the International Islamic Manga gathering.

According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), Iranian Cultural Attaché to Japan in an effort to introduce Islamic Manga to Japanese people and by getting help from Iranian Embassy in Tokyo has established Manga Muslim Institution in the country.

 The first international gathering of this institution under the title of Muslim World Manga 2018 was held in Tokyo attended by a number Japanese interested individuals, artists, dignitaries and scholars.

The event was covered by social media and Asahi newspaper as well as NHK Radio and TV networks. The same network aired another report from the gathering on January 4.

The Farsi Section of NHK, on Dec.30 broadcast a program named Barge Zabz (Green Leaf) aimed at making its audience familiar with life style of Muslims through gathering of Islamic Manga.

Manga is a style of Japanese comic books and graphic novels, typically aimed at adults as well as children.
