Iranian Cinema Day in Thailand

On the occasion of 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian Cinema Day started in Thailand.

According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the movie "Bodyguard" made by Ebrahim Hatamikia was screened at the Bangkok Cultural Center.  

A large number of cultural personalities, Iranian cinema lovers, foreign diplomats and Iranian residing in Bangkok attended the Iranian Cinema Day cultural event.

Iranian Ambassador to Thailand, Mohsen Mohammadi speaking at the gathering, while commemorating 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution briefed the audience on the independence of Iran and scientific advancement of the country.

He said as a part of the film Bodyguard shows there has been a futile effort by enemies of Iran to undermine achievements of the country by cyber attacks and assassination of nuclear scientists by Israeli agents.

Iranian Cultural Attaché to Bangkok, Mahdi Hasankhani speaking at the same ceremony said Islamic Revolution was a sign of great development in cultural and social outlooks of Iranian people.

He said Iranian cinema has also been influenced by such development and today we are witness to a highly developed film industry in our country which is quite different from what was before the Revolution and has gained international reputation.
