Head of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization left for Japan

Chairman of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, left Tehran for Tokyo to take part at the first round of Interreligious dialog between Iran and Japan titled   "status of Family in Islam and Shintoism.

According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), Mr. Abuzar Ebrahimi Turkman has been officially invited to attend the gathering.

The first round of interreligious dialogue between Iran and Japan is taking place on the occasion of 40th anniversary of Islamic Revolution and 90th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Tehran and Tokyo.

The gathering of Islamic and Shintoism scholars is due to take place on February 9 at the initiative of Iranian Cultural Mission to Tokyo and Kogakan University of Japan which is the main academic center  for teaching Shintoism.

The Interreligious Dialogue Center of ICRO and Ise Temple of Japan which is the holiest Shinto site in Japan, are also involved in the forthcoming seminar.

In addition to Mr. Turkman, Iranian Ambassador to Tokyo Mr. Housein Divsalar, Iranian Cultural Attaché, Hojatoleslam Hakim Elahi from Iranian side and dozens of university professors and top cultural figures from Japanese side will exchange views on the status family in Islam and Shintoism.

Mr. Ebrahimi, during his visit to Japan in addition to delivering the opening speech at the interreligious seminar, will also meet chairman of Japanese Peace Foundation, Head of national library of Japanese Parliament and Chancellor of Kogakan University and discuss promotion of bilateral cooperation and scientific and academic cooperation between the two nations.

He will also meet a group of Iranian living in Japan and on Feb 11, which coincides with 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and in a separate meeting will deliver his speech at the gathering of Japanese Iranologists and scholars of Islamic studies.
