Iranian Artworks on display at Georgian national Museum

A high ranking Georgian cultural official in her meeting with Iranian Cultural Attaché to Tbilisi said Iranian artworks are a source of beauty for the Georgian National Museum.
According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations (ICRO), the person in charge of the oriental art section of Georgian National Museum in her meeting with Hamid Mostafavi said artifacts such as paintings of Qajar era, Miniatures, hand woven carpets, tiles with Islamic designs, glassworks, pottery and beautiful Persian calligraphies are on display at the said Museum.
She said in order to repair some of the artworks we need Iranian experts to come and restore some damaged precious artifacts adding that due to large number of Iranian artworks and handicrafts in Georgian Museums , we need more scientific help from Iranian art workers to restore some the damaged historical objects.
Iranian Cultural Attaché talking about historical and cultural relations between Iran and Georgia said obviously getting familiar with each other"s culture will contribute to more close and friendly relations between the two nations.
Mr. Mostafavi welcome cooperation between Iranian skillful artworks restorers and the Georgian National Museum and called for further improvement of cultural relations between Tehran and Tbilisi.
He said Iran has considerable potentials on art and cultural activities and suggested holding of workshops by Iranian artisan to teach the skill of repairing artworks.
