Iranian Films take part in a film Festival in Bombay

Iranian Cultural House in Bombay for the first time has organized a two day film festival in the Indian city of Bombay title Iranian Tea (Irani Chay).

According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), Iranian Cultural Attache to Bombay assisted by director of a documentary named "Iranian Tea Café" Mr. Shoghi has organized a two day festival to screen 48 long, short and documentary films as well as animation from several  countries including India, Iran, US, Turkey and Unaided Kingdom.

Iranian Cultural Attache to Bombay, Mr. Ashouri, Iranian Consulate General, Abulfazl Mohammad Alikhani ,the Secretary of the festival, Mansour Shoghi as well as a number of film directors and Indian movie stars attended the opening ceremony of this cultural event.

The Secretary of the Festival thanked Iranian Cultural Attaché his help and said this festival is devoted to Iranian rich culture and reflecting the young and talented Iranian bright film directors.

 Iranian Cultural Attaché for his part thanked the Secretary of the festival for inviting Iran to this cultural event and said Iran and India are two countries that are considered as the cradle of the civilization.

In total 135 films from several countries were sent to the Secretariat of the festival and 48 of the selected by judges, were screened during the festival and were warmly welcomed by Indian cinemagoers.
