The Chairman of the Ugandan Journalist Association, William Balikodeme, speaking about the achievements of the Martyred General Soleimani and referring to his last year"s visit to Iran said the image depicted by the Western media from Islamic Republic of Iran is unrealistic.
According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and relations Organization (ICRO), a ceremony was held in Kampala at the first anniversary of the Beloved General Soleimani attended by a group academics, university students, scientific, religious and cultural personalities both Muslims and Christians in Iranian Cultural mission in Ugandan capital.
The editor in Chief of Ugandan Helman Daily, Naser Kasozi, speaking in the gathering held to commemorate and pay tribute to General Haj Qasem Soleimani, said cooperation of this top Iranian Muslim warrior with government in the region was aimed at bringing peace and stability and he was assassinated for because of his valuable help and serviced given to the people of middle East.
Tajeddin Sani, the Professor of the Kampala International University for his part said General Soleimani was the man who destroyed DAESH adding that Islamic Republic of Iran is the main supporter of peace and security in the region
Iranian Cultural Attache in Kampala, Mohammad Reza Qezelsufla, for his part said General Soleimani was a devoted and pious Muslim and supporter of the freedom and unity of the Islamic Ummah.
He said, we have gathered here today to pay homage to a man that devoted his life and career to bring peace and, freedom, independence and human civilization a man that was a nation by himself.
Several other speakers also spoke highly of General Soleimani said martyrdom of General Soleimani is a great loss for Islamic world.
