On the occasion of the anniversary of Islamic Revolution, Iran"s cultural Attaché in Syria, arranged a meeting titled "42 Years of Resistance, Technology and Civilization".

According to the Public Relations Department of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the meeting was attended by, Secretary General of the Palestinian Resistance Front, Khaled Abdolmajid, Director General of the International Quds Institute, Khalaf al-Fattah, head of the Faculty of Information Technology at Damascus University, Zuhair Fund, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Syria, Javad Torkabadi, Head of the Friendship Society of Iran and Palestine in Syria, Mohammad Al-Bahisi, Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Syria, Seyed Hamid Reza Esmati, along with a group of scientific, academic, literary figures and enthusiasts of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Seyed Hamid Reza Esmati, began his remarks by quoting Ayatollah Khamenei, as saying that the glorious revolution of the Iranian people, which is the greatest and most popular of its kind in the contemporary world, is the only revolution that has left behind a proud 4 decades without betraying its ideals.

He said this revolution, led by Imam Khomeini, continues to progress with wisdom and insight and trust in God almighty and the potentials of the dear nation of Iran, and has been able to achieve important progress in various fields such as science, industry, agriculture and many other fields, despite the plots of the enemies since its outset and continues to stand with the resilient and freedom fighting nations of the world with all its means, supporting  and defending Palestine and its oppressed people.

The next speaker, Secretary General of the Palestinian Resistance Front, Khaled Abdel-Magied, pointed out that global arrogance tried to create a political Islam to achieve its interests and even in recent years, various terrorist political groups were formed under the banner of political Islam, aimed at destroying Muslim Ummah, while the Islamic Revolution of Iran, as a prominent example of political Islam, over the past 42 years, was able, contrary to the fabricated organizations such as " The Muslim Brotherhood and Wahhabism, to create a scientific and civilized model and presented it to the world. He added that Iran has taken a firm stance in the political context from the time of Imam Khomeini to the leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei to support the Palestinian question and regards the Zionist regime as a cancerous entity.

Then, Zuhair Fund, head of the Faculty of Information Technology at Damascus University, in his remarks, referring to his visit to Iran in 2015, said, I witnessed a staggering transformation in Iranian universities, especially in the field of information technology adding that Iran has made enormous technological advance in many areas such as communications, despite the economic blockade, using its native potentials.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Syria, Javad Torkabadi, for his part said Imam Khomeini started his movement with regard to the Palestinian question and confrontation with the Zionist regime. This issue has continued since the beginning of the Imam"s uprising and this position has remained intact to the present time, because the Islamic Republic of Iran is always has tried to revive and establish the national and Islamic identity of Palestine, while the enemies are trying to undermine it.

he added that following the first step of the Islamic Revolution, which was focused on consolidation of the existence of the Islamic Republic of Iran, have now taken the second step and that is the stage of achieving the national and scientific sovereignty of the country.
