In a meeting between Iranian Cultural Attaché to Yerevan and head of the , the road map was drawn to promote bilateral cooperation on Iranology.

According to the Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), during the meeting between Seyed Hosein Tabatabaei and Robert Qazarian which was also attended by a prominent Armenian Iranologist, Mr. Gohar Skandarian, the head of the Oriental Studies Institute of Armenian Academy of Science said on the occasion of 30^th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Tehran and Yerevan, an international conference is due to be organized by the Armenian Academy of Science. He said, setting the date for holding the said conference is considered as the first step.

The they discussed details of the forthcoming conference and it was decided to hold a meeting in the near future to work out the procedures and to make the final decision.

The forthcoming international conference is aimed at finding out the weak points of Iranian studies, which will be hosted by the Oriental Studies Institute. Deciding the timing of the conference and formalities to award the first Harachia Acharian Prize to the top Armenian Iranologist, implementation of the project of oral history of Iranology in the next year, membership of Iranian and Armenian scholars in each other"s Science Academy are some of the topics to be brought up for discussion during the proposed meeting.

The Iranian Cultural Attaché thanked the Armenian official for the realistic approach of the country"s Academy of Science and its active nature and spoke highly about the statues of the said Armenian establishment.
