Iran"s Cultural Attaché to Moscow, Masoud Ahmadvand in a meeting with the head of the Tolstoy historical center discussed the prospect for promotion of cultural dialogue between Iran and Russia.
According to the Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), Masoud Ahmadvand, in the meeting with Ekaterina Tolstoy stressed the need for the continuation of the first round of Iran-Russia cultural talks. in the meeting, which was held at the garden of the Leo Tolstoy Museum, Ahmadvand explained the role and importance of cultural talks between the two countries which its first round was held in Moscow in 2009.
Regarding the holding of the second round of these talks, he announced his readiness to cooperate and facilitate the gathering and said cultural dialogues has been one of the main activities of ICRO in recent years, adding that such dialogue has brought closer the views of thinkers of the two countries on common issues.
Ekaterina Tolstoy, welcomed the continuation of the cultural talks between Iran and Russia, calling the second round of talks a useful step in strengthening the cultural ties between the two countries" intellectuals, and expressed hope that the program would be held soon. The head of the Leo Tolstoy Historical Collection, referring to this historical and cultural institution said this complex, as one of the cultural and historical attractions of Russia, receives more than 200,000 visitors monthly.
