The most important functions of this directorate include:

-Planning and assisting in the preservation and the strengthening of the Iranian-Islamic identity of the non-resident Iranians, in general, and the second and the third generations of the Iranians in particular;

- Assisting in the establishment and promotion of relations between these non¬resident Iranians and their homeland;

- Attending to the needs and problems of the non-resident Iranians and providing them with cultural services;

- Planning and coordinating between the cultural agencies concerning women's affairs;

- Conducting accurate studies of the Islamic laws pertaining to women with the cooperation of scientific and religious centers in order to explore the lofty status of women according to Islamic teachings;

- Introducing cultural, scientific, and artistic achievements of the Iranian women to the global community;

- Organizing professional seminars and conferences on women’s rights and actively participating in the signing of Moue between women’s organizations of Iran and other countries;

- Introducing the Iranian and the Islamic culture and civilization to children and young adults of the world through modem and appealing methods;

- Connecting and cooperating wit cultural and social institutes, centers, and organizations for children and young adults throughout the world based on commonalities;

- Attempting to strengthen religious and spiritual beliefs and attitudes among children and young adults with a view to minimizing moral and spiritual degradation;

- Producing and publishing books, films, audio tapes, and other cultural products in order to celebrate national and religious ceremonies, making them available to global cultural centers;
