A photo exhibition of modern Iranian cultural figures from East Azarbaijan Province, West Azarbaijan Province and Ardebil was held in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan with the contribution of the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to the Public Relations of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the exhibition which continues until July 15 has been established at the Bahruz Kangarli Hall in the Nakhchivan Painters Union.
The figures that were present at the opening ceremony of this photo exhibition included Mansour Airom, the Iranian Consul General, the Turkish Consul General, the Vice-President of Nakhchivan Painters Union, the representative of the Supreme Assembly and the chairman of Nakhchivan Writers Union, the Vice-President of Nakhchivan University and the members of the Academy of Sciences, the representative of Religious Affairs Department, the members of the Painters Union, artists, painters, photographers and art figures of this Autonomous Republic.
The First Exhibition of Iranian Photographers in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan
In the opening ceremony of this exhibition, Nizami Aliyev, the Vice-President of Nakhchivan Painters Union stated: "This is the first exhibition of Iranian artists and photographers in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan, which represents the development of bilateral cultural and artistic cooperation between Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan and Iran".
Stating that 65 photography works of prominent Iranian figures from three provinces have been exhibited at this exhibition, Nizami Aliyev added: "These works are not simple but show the theme of Iranian figures life".
He emphasized: "In this exhibition, the black and white images of Iranian figures are shown in various fields including artistic, literary, cultural, religious, musical, academic, designing areas, etc".
The Relations between Iran and Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan Are Developing
In the opening ceremony, Mansour Airom, the Iranian Consul General in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan stated: "Bilateral relations in the economic and political arenas are developing in the recent period and the increase in visits and travels by the Presidents of the two countries reflects this fact".
Mansour Airom added: "The cooperation and activities of artistic, cultural and academic areas, etc. have reached a high degree with the efforts of the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the support of the high-ranking officials of Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan and this exhibition is one of the examples of this procedure".
He continued: "Political and economic relations are dialogues among statesmen, but the arena of art and culture are the context for dialogue and interaction between peoples and nations".
Following the ceremony, Nihat Arshan, the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan delivered a speech and expressing happiness for the development of relations between Iran and Turkey in the economic sectors, he emphasized: "These cooperation have a positive and beneficial effect on neighboring countries".
The Development of Cultural Relations for Development in the Political Arena
In the ceremony, Hossein Aghazadeh, the Iranian cultural attaché in the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan also delivered a speech and stated: "The development in the economic and political spheres will reach desired results so that progress in the artistic, cultural and academic fields will be simultaneously realized and the practical example of this view and vision can be seen in Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan and Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan".
He continued: "High ranking officials from Iran and Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan are particularly interested in artistic and cultural categories and the holding of this exhibition is an evident example of this attention".
