The 24th international film festival "Listapad" will be conducted on 3 to 10th of November in Belarus with a slogan "Truth, Love, and Beauty".

According to the Public Relations Office of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the festival of drama, animation and documentary films " Listapad " (in Belarusian "Autumn") since 1994, after obtaining permission from the International Federation of Filmmaking Unions, among the Baltic States, Central Asia, as well as Central and Eastern Europe are held in Minsk (the capital of Belarus).

The festival was introduced as the international titles in 2003, and at that time films from Iran, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, the United States, China and Japan had been screened at the festival.

In 2006, characters such as Seyed Rouhollah Hejazi and Majid Esmaeili from Iran participated in the 13th festival.

Also, in 2009, 18 works by filmmakers from Iran, Russia, Belarus, France, Poland, Britain, Serbia, Georgia, Ukraine, Italy, Slovenia and Norway were reviewed by the jury. The next Iranian presence in the cinematic part of the festival was in 2010.

Belarus International Film Festival "Listapad" includes film screenings, cinema competitions, exhibitions, meetings, training classes, and more.

This years festival will be held in Minsk from 12 to 19 November, and cinema studios, television companies, producers and person from cinema in the all over the world can participate in the festival.Those films can be presented at the festival, which has not been exhibited in Belarus.

Festival schedules "Listapad" 2017

This year, the Listapad International Film Festival includes sections of the competition between educational institutions in the field of the cinema industry, the childrens and adolescent film competition named "Listapad", the dramatic film competition, the screening of Oscar award-winning movies, and etc.

The institutions and organizations that participate in the festival are the Belarusian Ministry of Culture, the Minsk City Executive Committee with the participation of the Belarusian State Radio and Television Company, the national Cinema Studio "Belarus  Film", the Belarusian Cinema Association (the organizer of the festival) and the center for the performing dramatic and visual arts "Art Corporations".

To organize the festivals events in Minsk, more than 500 films have been considered and the best films selected. Thirteen films are listed in the Oscars among the selected works. In this festival, the country that will participate this year for the first time is Albania.

Also, A total of 164 films from 55 countries will be attended in the program, of which 94 will be related to the competition.

The opening ceremony will be held at the Moscow Cinema Hall, with the presentation of one of the most prestigious films of the year called "Arrhythmia" directed by Boris Khlebnikov from Russia. The film awarded a valuable prize at the Sochi film festival in Russia.

The film "Samurai Fall" by Daniel Begovich from Serbia is also considered as a selective film for screening in the closing ceremony. The films of this round of festival will be shown at the venues of the "Tsentralny", "Mir", "pioneer", "Belarus" and "Falcon Club".
