The complete poetry collection, also known as Diwan, of Aslam Ansari, a professor of Persian language and literature was unveiled at Iranʼs House of Culture in Multan, Pakistan.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the complete collection of Aslam Ansariʼs Persian poems unveiled at Iranʼs Hose of Culture in Multan. Iranʼs cultural attaché in Islamabad, Shahabedin Daraei and a number of poetry enthusiast of Multan attended the ceremony.
Daraei presented his speech to the ceremony. "Poetry is telling of common pain of people which appears in the form of poem and poets as representatives of people mention it," he said.
Iranʼs cultural attaché pointed out the features of the collection.
And then, Aslam Ansari made a few remarks. "Persian poetry used to be popular in this region and figures like Amir Khosrow, Ghaleb and Iqbal have done their works before me. Many Muslims are familiar with this language," he said.
Then, Asad Arib, a prominent figure of Multan mentioned the book "Sorud E Rafteh" by Aslam Ansari. "Aslam Ansari, after Iqbal is the most known literati who write Persian poems fluently," he said.
