The new Persian language and literature training course began at the House of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Multan, Pakistan.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the opening ceremony of this course with the presence of Shahab al-din Daraee, our countryʼs Cultural Counselor in Islamabad and a group of students and interested people in Persian language was held at the House of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Multan, Pakistan.
In a speech at this ceremony, Daraee referred to the historical background of the Persian language and said, "If we consider Arabic as the language of the religion (Sharia), Persian is the language of principle (Tarighat), and many scientific, cultural and religious heritage such as philosophy, mysticism, interpretation, ethics and etc., have been published by Persian language.
He also mentioned, "If we want to get to know the great figures such as Muhammad Iqbal, who has written more than half of his poems in Persian, there should be a special look into Persian language and literature in this country."
According to the report, this course will be held for four months by Mrs. Zaheedeh Bokhari as a teacher and using the book of "Persian Golshan" at the place of our country"s House of Culture in Multan.
