At a meeting between Iranian Cultural Attaché to Bombay with the Minister of Religious Minorities of Maharashtra state, two sides called for expansion of Tehran- New Delhi relations.
According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Communication Organization (ICRO), Head of Iranian Cultural Mission to Bombay, Khosrow Rezazadeh and person in charge of Iranian Cultural House, Mohsen Ashori on January 9 met Minister of Religious Minorities of Indian State of Maharashtra and exchanged views on ways of expanding bilateral relations.
Rezazadeh talking about shared culture and civilization between the two countries said our relations dates back some one thousand years ago and today India is one of the major political and trade partner of Iran.
The Indian official, Haydar Aazam said his ministry is one of the entities responsible for the affairs of religious minorities in Indian society and always helps minorities in numerous areas.
He added interactions between Iranian and Indian nations will continue forever and said governments of two countries should work for promotion of shared culture adding that this is possible only trough proper planning and creating appropriate conditions.
Head of Iranian Cultural House in Bombay for his part said shared ancient culture and civilization provide a suitable ground for strengthening of bilateral ties.
By elaborating on cultural activities of Iranian Cultural House in Bombay, Mohsen Ashori said by cooperation of concerned Indian authorities we have been able to carry out numerous cultural activities in Bombay such as teaching Persian language, holding seminars, film festivals and setting up cultural and art exhibitions.
