The Head of Iranian Animation House and Head of Greece International Animation Festival signed a Memorandum of Understanding for art and cultural Cooperation.
According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) the MoU was signed by Mohammad Hamedani and Vasilis Kremistanis at the Iranian Cultural Mission in Athens.
Both sides have agreed to cooperate and if needed to support each other to attend the international animation festivals in Europe and Asia and exchange views and information about such events.
The MoU asserts that since Iran and Greece are historically and culturally rich countries and have many things in common, therefor they agree to cooperate on cultural areas.
They have also agreed to inform each other about cultural and media festivals taking place in their countries or region.
They have also agreed to inform the each other about production of any valuable art and cultural works which is compatible with cultural norms of the other party.
It has also been agreed to hold Animation- Week in both countries to introduce their potentials aimed at promotion of marketing and improved interactions.
Exchange of animation films and inviting Iran to an international animation festival due to take place in Athens in 2020, were among other topics agreed by Iranian and Greece cultural officials.
