Officials of Russian Oriental Arts Museum and Iranian Cultural Mission to Moscow have agreed to hold joint museum workshop in Russia.

According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), Iranian Cultural Attaché to Moscow, during his visit to Russian Oriental Arts Museum, met the manager of the second sector of the museum and discussed prospect for bilateral cultural cooperation.

The Russian official called for assistance of Iranian Cultural Mission for translation of a catalogue covering items related to Iran being kept in the said museum and Iranian cultural Attaché promised to provide needed assistance.

It was also decided that the Russian Oriental Arts Museum to invite Iranian concerned officials and experts to an international gathering organized by the museum in May 2020.

Since there are experienced museum personnel in Iran and existence of large number of Iranian origin items in Russian Oriental Arts Museum, it was agreed that a joint workshop to be held in Russia in 2020 in Russia, to be attended by officials and experts of two countries.

 The Russian Oriental Museum was set up nearly 100 years ago in Russian capital, holding a large collection of metal and pottery pieces from Iran and other nations.
