Following the assassination of Haj Qasem Soleimani and his comrades in an act of state terrorism by US criminal government and its condemnation by the Nigerian mass circulation an article headlined Soleimani: beyond the Fury of Iran, was published by a number of leading Nigerian newspapers.

According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the article is written by a prominent Nigerian journalist, Charles Ononiji and was published by 5 leading dailies: Nation, Punch, This Day, Vanguard and People"s Daily.

The US government said the goal behind the assassinating of top Iranian general was to secure the safety of the region and US troops in the Middle East, but soon after assassination of Soleimani, the American Secretary of State, George Pompeo ordered evacuation of American diplomats from Iraq, because security situations in the country has worsened. Interestingly, most of US lawmakers, both Republican and Democrat as well as officials of many countries across the world, have condemned the killing of general Soleimani.

The article went on saying that participation of millions of Iranian and Iraqi people in funerals of General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi AL- Muhandis, showed how cowardly act was assassination of these two top officials and it could be said that Trump by killing General Soleimani rendered the best service to DAESH and took the life of the anti-terrorist hero of the region.
