By cooperation of Iranian Cultural Attaché to Tunis;

Writing a book on comparative culture of Iran and Tunisia was contemplated

In a meeting between Iranian Cultural Attache and a leading Tunisian Cultural activist, Ms. Yasamin Hkodomeh, writing a book on comparative culture of Iran and Tunisia was discussed.

According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the Head of the Tunisian International Society of Public Culture of Sousse (a city 140 Km South of the Capital Tunis) in her talks with Iranian Cultural Attaché Maisam Farahani said the project of compiling a book on comparative culture of Iran and Tunisia, can provide a new and profound picture of cultural commonality between Iran and Tunisia.

Maisam Farahani, while informing his Tunisian visitor about the art and cultural activities of Iranian Cultural Mission to Tunis said boosting relations with non-governmental organizations aimed at making better use of mutual potentials and taking part in cultural events in the host country, are among the main objectives and policies of Iranian mission in this country.

 He said Iranian Cultural Mission have always worked for promotion of cooperation and ties with Tunisian cultural NGO"s and because of vast cultural potentials of both nations, we should try to introduce various aspects of our cultural assets to each other.

Iranian Cultural Attaché praised Ms. Yasamin Khodomi for her works and writings about cultural topics and said writing a book on cultural comparative of Iran and Tunisia will be a valuable contribution to expansion of cultural ties between the two nations. He expressed his willingness to cooperate with the Tunisian cultural scholar in writing such a book which would become a lasting cultural heritage for both countries.

 

Conducting joint cultural programs between Iran and Tunisia is essential

 

 

Ms. Khodomeh, presenting a report on the activities of Tunisian International Society of Public Culture of Sousse, considered the development of cooperation and international relations as one of the most important policies of this center and said culture is an important means in link between Iran and Tunisia, as two countries with a long history and civilization. She added that culture has always been the focus of the Tunisian cultural authorities and the efforts made in recent years for the cultural development of the two countries also show the will of cultural officials to boost relations and introduce the culture of the two countries in order to develop and deepen cultural relations understanding.

she said Non-governmental organizations, taking advantage of their very high capacities, provide a good opportunity for the development of cultural relations between the two countries, and therefore we are ready to implement joint cultural programs."

Ms. Khodomeh described the proposal to write a book on the comparative culture of Iran and Tunisia as a new and significant initiative adding that this project can provide a new picture of the profound cultural relations and commonalities between the two countries.
