From April 30, the movie Yalda directed by Massoud Bakhshi will be shown in Spanish cinemas.

According to the Public Relations Department of the of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the film is currently being screened at the Barcelona Film Festival. An international festival that will continue until the third Friday of April.

Yalda was first screened at the 37th Fajr Film Festival. Yalda"s first world premiere took place on January 26, 2020 at the Sundance Film Festival. Yalda was well received by the audience by appearing in the main competition of world feature fiction cinema at the US Sundance Film Festival.

 Yalda was then shown in France, Switzerland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Canada, Ukraine, Finland, South Korea, Bulgaria, Serbia, Turkey and Malaysia. According to French Film Magazines the total number of, Yalda viewers, crossed the 45,000 mark at the end of the film"s three-week release in France.

It is worth mentioning that Yalda, directed by Masoud Bakhshi, did not have much success in its 22 weeks of release in Iranian cinemas due to the closure of cinemas and the country"s coronary restrictions during the release of the film. However, the film has been successful in the United States and Europe. "Yalda" is a joint production of six countries: Iran, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Lebanon and Switzerland. The latest international success of the film was the Best Director Award for Masoud Bakhshi at the Antalya Film Festival (known as the Turkish Oscars).
