New Islamic Civilization is a concept for establishing a new  civilization which will be based on the fundamental teachings of Quran and the Prophet with the aim to provide a solution for the modern world problems and overcoming the various problems of the world community which other civilizations and systems failed to provide solution.

According to public relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relation Organization (ICRO), and as reported by Iranian Cultural Mission inTanzania, the new civilization will create a new environment and to open a new path of life to human being. This new Islamic civilization is more focused on the people prosperity and happiness.

 The history of the concept

The major civilizations of the old world typically took shape many centuries before the beginning of this New Islamic Civilization. "Civilization," although often associated solely with certain levels of social and technological advancement, can also refer to the moral status and level of development of an action or individual as when we refer to specific actions or persons as "civilized" or "uncivilized" in a distinctly normative moral sense. To be "civilized" in an individual moral sense is what Aristotle called to be eleutherios, to have the individual disposition to be concerned with virtue (arētē) in both thought and action as the result of proper education and habituation.

 The raise of the concept

Oliver Roy (1994) calls lumpen intelligentsia or "Islamic new intellectuals" as a concerted effort to counter Western science and ideology with equivalent concepts drawn from the Quran and Hadith or Sunnah, the most widely accepted authoritarian guides to the Islamic canon. This concept, however, is not to counter, as Oliver claimed, instead, it focuses on the establishment of system of justice in the world based on the true value of Islam. The concept from the Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, called the ultimate purpose of Iranian Government related with Second Phase of the Revolution. Earlier, Islamic civilization has contributed to the treasury of the world"s arts, technology, medicine law and sciences, however, the Muslim Ummah lagged behind since the fall of Ottoman empire hence the proposed concept by Ayatollah Khamenei, is not to revive the mistaken and misguided previous empire, but to revive and resume the position of Islam as the independent civilization free from corrupt and oppressive systems.
