Iran and Indonesia to expand scientific and Cultural relations

In a meeting between Iranian Cultural Attaché to Jakarta and the Chancellor of Terbuka University both sides called for promotion of cultural ties between the two countries.

According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), Mehrdad Rakhshandeh in an effort to boost scientific and cultural relations with the only Cyber University of Indonesia, had a meeting with Chancellor of Terbuka University and discussed issues of mutual interest.

Iranian Cultural Attaché in his talks with Indonesian academics elaborated on the shaping of the Islamic Revolution and significant academic progress made by the Islamic Republic of Iran and said despite cruel and nasty problems created by the arch enemies of Islam towards the Islamic Republic of Iran, we have made considerable scientific and technological progress.

He invited the Chancellor of Terbuka University to the second conference of the Network of Cyber Universities of Islamic World, due to be held in Tehran on Oct. 6, 2019.

The Chancellor of Terbuka University of Jakarta for his part said Islamic Republic of Iran is our first choice to expand our academic cooperation.

Terbuka is among the 45 state universities in Indonesia and was established by a presidential decree in 1984 and by having 350 thousands students, is among the top 10 world universities.
