Iranian Day to be held in Tunisian Cartage University

In a meeting between Iranian Cultural Attaché to Tunis and the Head of the Foreign Languages Department of Cartage University, an agreement was reached to hold a ceremony to nominate a day as Iran Day at the said University.

According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), in an effort to boost scientific and academic relations between Iran and Tunisia, Iranian Cultural Attaché to the country met the Head of the Foreign Language Department of Cartage University on Oct.4 and discussed issues of mutual interest.

Maysam Frahani in his talks with Ms. Hoda Melohiya Bin Hamadi, underlined the importance of the role played by language in introducing of cultures adding that researchers and scholars by learning foreign languages have been able to introduce other cultures to their compatriots and Cartage University has played a leading role in this sense.

He also talked about constructive ties between Cartage University and Iranian academic centers and Al-Zahra (SA) University in particular and called for signing of cooperation agreement between the two countries to improve such relations.

Farahani said Iranian Cultural Mission to Tunisia is ready to facilitate dispatching of Iranian linguistics Professors to Tunisia to discuss ways of cooperation with officials of Cartage University in areas such as publication of scientific papers and books.
