Mourning ceremony was held in Sri Lanka on the sad occasions of demise of the holy Prophet of Islam and Martyrdom of Imam Hassan Mojtaba

The Mourning ceremony marking the demise of the holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and martyrdom of the Imam Hassan Mojtaba (AS) was organized and held by the Iranian Cultural Mission in Sri Lankan capital, Colombo

According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the ceremony was attended by members of Sri Lankan Shia Community and a group of Iranian residing in Colombo.

A graduated student of Al- Mustafa International University, Mohammad Marvan, spoke in Tamil language about the virtues and lifestyle of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH).

 He talked about the prominent characteristics of the holy Prophet and said in addition to his main mission as the messenger of the almighty God he could rule over the soul of the people in Hijaz (Arabian Peninsula) and spread Islam across the world.

The representative of Al- Mustafa International University in Sri Lanka elaborated on the mission of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) as the last messenger sent by Allah to lead the mankind.
