Iran and Kenia sign Memorandum of cooperation

A letter of agreement was signed by Iranian Cultural Attaché to Nairobi and officials of Kenyan University of Riara, aimed at boosting bilateral cultural cooperation.

According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO),

following the first round of a seminar held with officials of International Relations and Diplomacy Science of Riara University to introduce the Islamic Republic of Iran to Nigerian people and student in particular some two months ago which was welcomed by Kenyan academics, two sides decided to work for paving the way for promotion of cultural, scientific and research ties between the two countries and they proposed signing of a memorandum of cooperation to facilitate implementation of possible projects and programs.

Agreement was reached on areas such as opening of Iran Room at the Riara University, holding of joint conferences, teaching of Persian language, organizing film festivals, sending some students to tourism journeys to get familiar with achievements of Islamic Republic of Iranian in tourism industry.

The agreement of cooperation was signed on Nov. 4 by Iranian Cultural Attaché to Nairobi, Mahmoud Majlesi and the Chancellor of Riara University of Nigeria in a ceremony attended by Iranian Embassy officials and a group students of the said university.
