Commemoration ceremony was held at Iranian Consulate General in Sulaymaniyah for Martyr Soleimani

The commemoration ceremony was held in honor of Martyr Haj Qasem Soleimani and his comrades especially Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis at the Iranian Consulate General in Sulaymaniyah in Kurdish Autonomous region in northern Iraq.

According to Public Relation Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the glorious ceremony was attended by hundreds of local political, military, religious and parliamentary officials and people of all walks of life.

 The ceremony was widely covered live by local media and commentators talked about the leading role played by Martyr Haj Qasem Soleimani in fight against terrorism and his efforts in helping people of the region. They sent their condolences to Supreme Leader, Iranian government and nation on the martyrdom of the top Iranian military commander.

Iranian Consulate General to Sulaymaniyah in an interview with local TV channels on the sideline of the commemoration ceremony, while praising the outstanding role of general Soleimani in campaign  against terrorism said the criminal act of the US government is clear violation of international laws and norms and said Washington is responsible for any possible consequences of its barbaric attack.

 Mr. Mahdi Shoushtari said the criminal act by the US government in Killing General Soleimani is in fact the beginning of the end of US present in this region of the world. He also thanked all local officials of the Kurdish autonomous region for their sympathy and attending the memorial service in the town of Sulaymaniah in commemoration of martyrdom General Soleimani and those who last their lives along him.
