Russians want Iran to take part at forthcoming children book fair

Deputy Chairman of Russian Federation Publications and Mass Media calls Iran to take part at the forthcoming Children Book Fair in Moscow.

 According to Public Relations Department of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), Vladimir Gregoriev in meeting the General Manger of Iranian Cultural Exhibition Organization, Ghader Ashna and Iranian Cultural Attaché, Ghahreman Soleymani discussed issues of mutual interest concerning printing and publication sector and cultural exhibitions.

The Russian official thanked Iranian officials for taking part at the Russian 32nd International Book Fair and by recalling his attendance to Tehran International Book Fair said Iran is the land of culture and described his experience of Tehran visit as very positive.

The Deputy Chairman of Russian Federation of Publications and Mass Media briefed Iranian officials of the status of the printing and publication sectors in Russia and said entrance of Internet into this sector as very important development. He said, next year Children Book Fair will be held in Russia and we will be glad to host Islamic Republic of Iran in this exhibition.

 Vladimir Gregoriev said we also intend to hold congress of Russian Language Translators and will invite Persian language translators to this gathering because it is very important for us that our friend and brother country, Iran to take part in this event.

Gregoriev proposed holding of a specialized exhibition about Printing and translation sectors by the state library and praised Iranian culture and resistance to safeguard their independence and express readiness of Russian side to cooperate with Iranian cultural Mission in Moscow.

The General Manger of Iranian Cultural Exhibition Organization, Ghader Ashna for his part said literary interactions between Iran and Russia is in desirable state and said by programs the Russian side have in mind we can promote our cooperation on children and young adults books adding that our potentials in this sector is quite considerable.  

 He said we are interested to showcase our potentials on children books at Russian forthcoming Children Book Fair.

Iranian Cultural Attaché to Moscow, Mr. Soleymani welcomed to projects by Russian side namely Children Book Exhibition and gathering of Russian translators.

He also invited Deputy Chairman of Russian Federation Publications and Mass Media to take part at Irano- Russia cultural talks due to take place on September 25 in Moscow.
