This documentary is about the history of the arrival of the phenogram in Iran during the time of Naser al-Din Shah (one of the Iranian kings during the Qajar period), its replacement by the gramophone, the role of this device in perpetuating sounds, publishing news and even expressing political protests. This device continued to be used until it became subject to the phenomenon of censorship during the rule of Reza Pahlavi and was eventually replaced by cassette tapes in the early 1970s.
