Squad of Girls
Squad of Girls
This film narrates the story of the resistance and sacrifice of women in the turbulent early days of Iraq’s imposed war against Iran in 1980. By recreating live and documentary images of the house-to-house battle in Khorramshahr (one of the occupied cities in that year, which was liberated after 578 days), this film is the first cinematic image of Iranian women’s resistance.
