The story of a forest ranger by the name of Masoud who has married his cousin, Mahtab, at the insistence of his father, but is unhappy about their marriage and intends to end it. When it seems that Masoud and Mehtab are struggling to reach an understanding with regard to their married life, something happens that affects their lives more than before. Masoud shoots illegal hunters during one of his duty shifts, and as a result one of the hunters gets injured. This hunter and Masoud are transferred to the hospital for surgery where Mehtab works, and this event causes a chain of major problems.
