The first week of friendship between children Iran and Sri Lanka Children's Friendship Week was held in the Colombo Public Library from 11 to 15/07/2023 with the participation of Iran Cultural Centre, Colombo Public Library and Colombo Municipal Council.

this event was opened by Hon. Vidura Wickramanayake (Minister of Buddhasasana , Religious and Cultural Affairs). Iranian artists hosted Sri Lankan children and teenagers by organizing various workshops such as painting, pottery, etc.

Iranian children's films for children were shown in these exhibitions every evening.
