Iranian Cinema Shine at the 9th International Ability film Festival 2025 Chennai

 The ninth edition of the International Film Festival of India (AbilityFest 2025) was held from July 7-10 July 2025 at the PVR Inox movie theaters in Chennai. The event was hosted by the Ability Foundation and with the presence of works from nine countries to the screening of more than 5 films focusing on the lives and experiences of people with disabilities.

 Iranian films, with the support of the Directorate General of Media and Cyberspace, and the Islamic Republic of Iran Culture House in Mumbai, had a bold and admirable presence at the festival. Iranian works, with a unique artistic view, human and profound narrative, not only influenced the audience, but presented a real, sincere and sincere image of life with disabilities.

 These films paid particular attention to the differences and challenges of people with disabilities, without relying on dramatic effects or dramatic scenes, focusing on everyday details, delicate humor, human affection and resilience. The natural representation of these conditions in the form of Iranian culture was a contemplative and emotional experience for many audiences.

 At the closing ceremony of the festival, the auditory version of the successful film Sitaare Zamen Par  produced by Amir Khan On disablity theme was screened. The presence of the agents of the film and its disabled actors made the ceremony space emotionally and energetic.

 Recall that the private sector of Iranian cinema played an important role in the presence of Iranian works and the promotion of artistic quality and cultural diversity of the AbilityFest 2025 Festival, with the support of Dr. Fatana Amiri, the founder and director of the Parvaz International Film Film Festival, and the help of Mr. Alireza Shahrokhi from Iran.
