Sarallah Association in Mumbra, a suburb of Mumbai, organized a grand ceremony on the occasion of the Fajr Decade of the Islamic Revolution. The program was held on Friday, February 13, 2026 (24 Bahman 1404) after Friday prayers, featuring a speech by Hujjat ul Islam wal Muslimeen Maulana Syed Hussain Mehdi Hosseini. His words were warmly received by the faithful, and the atmosphere of the gathering was filled with faith, hope, and remembrance of the Ahl al Bayt (peace be upon them).
Simultaneously with the commemoration of the 47th Anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and the 1500th Anniversary of the Birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), a Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference was successfully organized in Bhiwandi, a suburb of Mumbai, as part of strengthening academic and cultural cooperation between Iran and India. The conference was jointly organized by the Bhiwandi Weavers’ Education Society and Samadiya College of Arts & Commerce, in collaboration with the Cultural House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai. This scientific and cultural event was held at Yunus Samad Auditorium and witnessed the active participation of students, faculty members, scholars, and intellectuals.
The closing ceremony of the 22nd Third Eye Asian Film Festival was held on 15 January 2026 at the P L Deshpande Academy Theatre. The event marked the conclusion of the festival with the announcement of selected films and the presentation of trophies and awards. It was attended by a distinguished gathering of cultural officials filmmakers critics and cinema lovers and unfolded in a warm and culturally vibrant atmosphere. Following an official invitation from Kiran Shantaram, President of the Third Eye Asian Film Festival, Mohammad Reza Fazel, Cultural Attache and Head of the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, attended the closing ceremony of the festivals 22nd edition.
Thakur College of Science & Commerce proudly hosted the 14th edition of the International Short Film Festival CortoKino 2026, under the theme Unleashing Global Cinema. The two-day festival brought together budding filmmakers from across the world, offering a dynamic platform for creativity and cultural exchange. The festival featured a diverse line-up of short films, with three Iranian short films adding a distinctive voice to the global showcase. Their participation highlighted the strength of contemporary Iranian cinema and its resonance with international audiences. The event was supported by the Iran Culture House, Mumbai, which provided the films and extended its cultural collaboration to the festival.
the First Conference on Iran–India Relations: Cooperation in Culture and Civilization is a scholarly collection of articles presented at the First Seminar on Iran–India Relations. The volume was published with the initiative and support of the Cultural House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, India. The book is the outcome of an academic seminar jointly organized by the Cultural House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai and the Department of History, University of Mumbai. The conference brought together scholars from Iran, India, and Bangladesh to explore historical, cultural, and intellectual interactions between the two civilizations.
Rūdakī (c. 859–940/941 CE), born in Rudak, is universally regarded as the father of classical Persian poetry and the first major poet to compose extensively in New Persian, written in the Arabic script. His work laid the foundation for Persian literary tradition and influenced generations of poets who followed him. Despite being blind from birth, Rūdakī possessed remarkable intellectual depth, creative imagination, and artistic brilliance. His lack of sight never hindered his literary achievements; instead, it strengthened his sensitivity toward human emotions and ethical values. In addition to poetry, he was a skilled harp player and singer, known for his warm voice. He composed odes (qasidas), ghazals, mathnavis, and eulogies in the Khorāsānī style, earning a distinguished position at the Samanid court.
The programme commenced at 2:30 PM with great zeal and reverence, setting a dignified and inspiring tone for the evening. Students showcased their academic learning and cultural talents through vibrant performances and presentations in English, Arabic, Hindi, and Marathi, reflecting months of dedication, discipline, and hard work. Their confidence and creativity were warmly appreciated by parents and guests. The conclave was graced by eminent national and international dignitaries, including Mr. Saeed Reza Mosayeb Motlagh, Honorable Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, and Mr. Mohammad Reza Fazel, Director of the Culture House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai. During the ceremony, the Iranian dignitaries were honored with a traditional shawl and a commemorative statue as a mark of respect and appreciation.
On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Hazrat Sayyeda Fatima Zahra (Peace Be Upon Her), the only daughter of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), a symposium titled “Janabe Sayyeda Fatimah Al Zahra: Virtues as a Role Model for Women and Humanity” was organized on Saturday, 13 December 2025, at the Assembly Hall of G. M. Momin Women’s College, Bhiwandi, Mumbai Suburbs. The programme was held in G. M. Momin Women’s College.
The fourth beginner-level Persian language course was successfully conducted in collaboration with the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai (representing the Saadi Foundation) and under the supervision of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Hyderabad. Classes were held in person at the Consulate General premises in Hyderabad.
