The Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, according to the frequent requests of those interested and also the back ground of Persian language and literature in the Indian subcontinent, holds introductory and pre-intermediate courses of Persian language and literature especially for the spring season in different educational centres and also in different cities of India. On Tuesday 18th June the Iranian animation film Dolphin Boy was screened at Y B Chavan Centre, Nariman Point for Indian film lovers, Iranian residents in Mumbai and Iranian diplomats. The State Commission for Persons with Disabilities, in association with the Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Goa, Cultural House of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mumbai and We Care Festival, presented the Indo-Iranian Film Festival on Disability Issues. The event, held at Maquinez Place and aimed at raising awareness and promoting inclusivity, was inaugurated by the Guest of Honour, Shri Subhash Phaldessai, Hon’ble Minister for Social Welfare, and E Vallavan, Secretary, IAS, Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
