November 7, 2025 The Consulate General of Iran in Hyderabad, in collaboration with the Moving Images Company, inaugurated the Iranian Film Week with a powerful screening of The Night the Moon Was Full, directed by renowned Iranian filmmaker Nargis Abyar. The event marked a significant moment in Indo-Iranian cultural exchange, drawing a diverse and distinguished audience. Held on Friday, the opening ceremony featured the screening of The Night the Moon Was Full, a gripping drama inspired by true events. The film was presented in the presence of its director, Nargis Abyar, whose body of work includes critically acclaimed titles such as Shiyar 143, Nafs, and Ablaq. Abyar’s presence added depth to the evening, as she engaged with attendees and shared insights into her creative process and the socio-cultural themes explored in her films.

On Monday, September 29, 2025, a group of students studying Persian language and literature from Ismail Yusuf College in Mumbai, along with their advisor, Mr. Ashfaq Mortazavi, visited the Cultural House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai. This visit coincided with the celebration of Shams Tabrizi and Jalal al-Din Muhammad Rumi. The event was organized at the request of the college's Persian language and literature department, with the goal of enhancing students' understanding of Persian culture and language. Upon arrival, the students were greeted by Mr. Mohseni-Fard, the acting consul general of the Iranian Consulate in Mumbai, and Mr. Mohammad Reza Fazel, the cultural attaché of the Iran Cultural House in Mumbai. Both speakers emphasized the importance of the Persian language in the Indian subcontinent.
The online course for beginners in Persian language and literature concluded at the Cultural House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, India, during the spring semester. Supported by the Cultural House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai and in collaboration with the Saadi Foundation, this online course commenced on April 15 of this year and concluded with the final examination.
