The 15th edition of International Sufi Rang Festival began 1st Oct 2022 with a Blissful Opening Ceremony at Mehfil Khana of the holy shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz Moinuddin Chishty R.A. in Ajmer Sharif. Conceived and organized by Haji Syed Salman Chishty, the Gaddi Nashin of Dargah Ajmer Sharif and Chairman of Chishty Foundation and curated by Gori Yusuf Hussain (Bharuch, Gujarat), the International Sufi Rang Festival which celebrates Divine Love with Sacred Art's, Calligraphic Inscriptions, Spiritual Sufi Musical renditions, Poetry, Seminars on Sufism, Heart to Heart Dialogue for Peace, Unity, Harmony and Serving All Creation with Unconditional Love as the noble teachings of Khawaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishty Gharib Nawaz(r) and Practices of Chishty Sufi Order among its millions of Chishty devotees, followers across India, South Asia and different countries around the world.

The Mumbai University (MU) announced a two-year Master’s degree in Hindu Studies or the study of Hinduism. The varsity established its own Centre for Hindu Studies (Hindu Abhyas Kendra) along the lines of the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies. The admission process for the two-year full-time MA in Hindu Studies for the academic year 2022-23 is set to begin next week, according to MU authorities.

Mumbai’s historic drinking water fountains or, as they’re colloquially known, pyaavs, installed approximately between the 1870s and 1950s, while being important structures in the city, conservation architect Rahul Chemburkar tells, there are around 50 pyaavs left in the city. Today, three are functional after restoration, namely Kesowwji Naik fountain at Masjid Bunder, built in the late 1870s, Ramji Setiba pyaav installed in the early 20th century at Shivaji Park, and Kothari pyaav built in 1923, near the General Post Office building at Fort. Six other pyaavs are currently under restoration, and will be opened to the public in the near future.
