On Sunday, 8 February, coinciding with the Ten-Day Dawn marking the victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, Sri Lankan alumni who had graduated in previous years from religious schools and seminaries in the Islamic Republic of Iran gathered at the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sri Lanka.
Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Hatampouri, Representative of the Office of the Supreme Leader, delivered remarks in which he expressed his appreciation for the participants’ presence and congratulated them on the auspicious celebrations of Sha‘ban and the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. He stated that what truly gives vitality to their work is self-purification, avoidance of arrogance, a spirit of unity, and good moral conduct. He further emphasized that the most important matter is unity and cohesion among them, urging that any potential disagreements or divisions should be resolved, and that efforts should be directed toward promoting religious teachings. In another part of his speech, he praised the wise leadership and measures of the Supreme Leader in neutralizing the plots of enemies who had sought to create difficulties for the Islamic system.

At the ceremony, Dr. Delkhosh, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, also congratulated the attendees on the celebrations of Sha‘ban and the Ten-Day Dawn. He elaborated on the current situation of the country, stating that Iran stands firm and will not retreat from its principled positions. The Ambassador added that, according to admissions by the CIA and Mossad, recent events in Iran had been planned by these organizations; however, by the grace of God, those plans failed.Ali Kebriyaei Zadeh, Cultural Counselor, also addressed the gathering. He stated that today’s world is confronted with three major crises: morality, spirituality, and justice, and that only the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) can effectively address these challenges. He added that the alumni had spent years of their lives in Iran, learned the Persian language, and become acquainted with the subtleties and richness of Iranian culture. Therefore, an unspoken responsibility now rests upon them to strive for the introduction and promotion of Iranian culture and the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt.

The program concluded with several alumni sharing their perspectives, discussing the cultural and religious activities they have undertaken, and proposing initiatives that should be pursued in the future.
