Organize Norooz Cup  football with the efforts of the Culture House of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mumbai in Khosrow Bagh parsi colony in Mumbai

On the arrival of Nowruz ( Iranian New year,) the first edition of the Nowruz Cup football competition, named Nowruz Cup, held on Saturday and Sunday, March 11 and 12 in the lawns of the Khosrow Bagh complex in Mumbai, which belongs to Iranian Parsi people living in Mumbai. . With the efforts of the House of Culture of Islamic Republic of Iran Mumbai and with the participation of other organizations and institutions like Islamic Republic of Iran Airlines in Mumbai, Cafe Mami Zoon Restaurant, Mumbai Football Federation, Mumbai Gymkhana, Khosro Bagh, etc. It was held over two days in two different regions with sixteen different teams in attendance.

The opening ceremony of this friendly sports event was attended by Mr. Abulfazl Mohammad Alikhani the Honorable Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, abnd Mr. Amanollah Sayadi Director of the  Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, members of the Khosrow Bagh Trust and the official of the Maharashtra State Football association and members of the organization and institutions related to the Islamic Republic of Iran, started with a short speech of the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai.

Sixteen teams competed in two days from 16:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Participating teams include the Culture House of the Islamic Republic of Iran House Mumbai (the members of this team include a number of local colleagues working at the  Culture House and resident Iranians, one Spanish athlete, one Swiss athlete and three Indian athletes), the team of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai. , two teams from Bombay Gymkhana, two teams of Iranians living in Pune named Pune Association and Irani Cafe, Mumbai Football Federation team, Tehran-Mumbai team, I love Mumbai team, Bhabha, Razavi Football Club team Sheesh FC, Taneh FC, etc. The winner (s) of this edition was the team in group A of the Mumbai Football Federation, and the winning team from group B was the  Culture House of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mumbai. The closing ceremony of the first edition of Norooz Cup was held in the presence of Mr. Alikhani, the Honorable Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, Mr. Sayadi, the head of the Culture House of  the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, the trustees of  Khosrow Bagh colony and other members of the institutions. In this ceremony, Mr. Abulfazl Mohammad Alikhani, while expressing his gratitude and appreciation to the  Culture House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, the members of the cusrow bagh Trust, and the organizers of this event, said: Nowruz is one of the national festivals of Iranians, which has been preserved since ancient times. And everyone passes it. This sports competition provides friendship and healthy competition among all participants.

In the end, cups were awarded to the top teams and the second teams. The number of spectators of this event was about three hundred and fifty people, most of whom came with their families.
