CULTURAL CENTRE EXHIBITS ON NATIONAL DAY COMMEMORATIONS
The Cultural Centre of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Zimbabwe yesterday (8 February) fully participated in festivities marking the 45th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran by mounting a cultural exhibition at the venue where Iran’s National Day was being celebrated.

The Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Zimbabwe yesterday (8 February) fully participated in festivities marking the 45th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran by mounting a cultural exhibition at the venue where Iran’s National Day was being celebrated.
The commemorations were held at a top hotel in Harare. The event was attended by diplomats from friendly countries accredited to Zimbabwe, top government officials, members of the Zimbabwean business community, diplomats attached to the Embassy of Iran, the Iranian business community in Harare, as well as members of the Zimbabwean media organizations.
The exhibition mostly focused on Iran’s achievements over the last 45 years. It was also a celebration of Iran’s rich cultural heritage, whose prominence was further bolstered by the Islamic Revolution. On display were publications, handcrafts, and photographs.
Speaking during the commemorations, Iran’s ambassador to Zimbabwe, H.E. Mr. Abbas Navazani, said Iran was broadly promoting relations with Africa as a continent but working more closely with Zimbabwe.
He said that following the exchange of various delegations between Iran and Zimbabwe, trade volumes between the two countries had grown tremendously.
Zimbabwe's Minister of Higher Education and Technology, who is also the acting minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Professor Amon Murwira, who spoke on behalf of the Government of Zimbabwe, said Iran was welcome to cooperate with Zimbabwe in mining, agriculture, pharmaceutical production, and beneficiation, as well as in the higher education, science, and technology development sectors.
He said Zimbabwe needs Iran to train and equip Zimbabweans with science and technology skills and in the production and beneficiation of locally produced raw materials.
