The Expo, which brings together global tourism and cultural players as well as top tourism players from around Zimbabwe, opened today, 12 September 2024.

The Cultural Centre of the Embassy of Iran, which is representing the culturally rich and great nation of Iran, is among a host of other international exhibitors that includes other Eight foreign countries.

The Cultural Centre of the Embassy of Iran is showcasing a glamorous and eye-catching pictorial and handicraft exhibition, which is meant to showcase the rich, diverse and competitiveness of Iran as a top tourism destination and cultural hotspot of the world.

The Iranian stand is being manned by Mr Hamid Bakhtiyar, the Cultural Counselor at the Embassy of Iran, who has taken it upon himself to market the Islamic Republic of Iran as a top tourism destination of choice for the discerning traveler.

Mr Bakhtiyar said Iran’s participation at the ongoing fair, which will be officially inaugurated this Friday, and closing on Saturday, is meant to enhance further cooperation in tourism between Zimbabwe and Iran. He said there are strong tourism growth prospects between Iran and Zimbabwe as Iran is working hard to bring Iranian nationals to explore the beauty of Zimbabwe as well as Zimbabweans exploring the Islamic Republic of Iran for tourism growth visits.

Mr Bakhtiyar will also use his participation at the expo to interact with other tourism and cultural promotion agencies from around Zimbabwe to establish new partnerships for the further growth of relations between the two brotherly countries.
