A Turkish writer of Iranian descent believes that the Persian language is one of the most interesting languages around the world, which is melodic in the eyes of other nationals.

Shahzadeh Igual, an Iranian national living in Turkey, told Shahrvand Newspaper on January 2 that many literary activists, authors and even ordinary people around the globe are of the opinion that the Persian language sounds like poetry because they feel when a person speaks in Persian, it seems that he/she recites poems.

Igual, who was born in Tehran, has been living in Turkey for 31 years. She has written four books in Turkish language. She is the only non-Turk member of the Turkish Authors' Association.
The writer has held meetings in Turkey to introduce Persian literature and poets to Turkish people and authors so far.

She teaches Persian poems at universities and in different associations.

She also is one of the co-founders of literary tourism, who invited well-known Turkish authors from Turkey to pay a visit to Iran.

Following her tours to Iran, several Turkish writers and nationals have turned into active media to promote travel to the Islamic Republic.

Igual went on to say that she succeeded in dispatching first group of literary tourists from Spain to Iran around three weeks ago. She accompanied the Spanish group, who expressed satisfaction with the experience and voiced regret for losing the interesting trip so far.

The writer argued that those, who are keen on conducting literary tourism, should have a good know-how of the Persian language and literature.

Islamic Culture and Communication Organization is one of the Iranian organizations which is affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance; and was established in 1995.[More]
