The 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI)

The International Cinema section of IFFI features a collection of culturally and aesthetically significant films from across the globe. It has maintained its esteemed reputation by dedicating itself to the promotion of art through the exhibition of the year’s international films, which are selected by distinguished members of the Film Industry.
IFFI is the sole film festival in South Asia that holds accreditation from the International Federation of Film Producers' Associations (FIAPF) for international festivals in the Competitive Feature Films Category.
Since its establishment in 1952, IFFI has been showcasing exceptional films from around the globe. Its mission is to create a unified platform for aspiring filmmakers, cinephiles, and industry experts to access outstanding cinema from various parts of the world.

Since 2004, IFFI has been held at its permanent location in Goa, where it is co-organized annually by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, and the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), Government of Goa.
Official reports from the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in 2024 indicate that 11,332 delegates attended the festival over its nine-day run.
- International Participation: The delegates came from 34 states and union territories across India, as well as 28 other countries.
- Public Visitors: The related entertainment zone, IFFIesta, which featured performances and an exhibition, attracted a separate count of 18,795 visitors.
- Film Bazaar: Separately, the film market portion of the event, known as Film Bazaar, saw 1,876 delegates attend.
