This day commemorates three students (Mostafa Bozorgnia and Ahmad Ghandchi and Azar Shariat Razavi) who were killed at the University of Tehran on December 7, 1943, during a protest against the official visit of then-US Vice President Richard Nixon and the resumption of Iran's relations with Britain.
