The 43rd Fajr International Film Festival will be held in Tehran from November 26 to December 4, 2025 (Azar 5–12, 1404). This prestigious Iranian cinematic event will be held this year under the slogan “Celebration of Life” and will feature four competitive sections: International Competition, Eastern Vista, Panorama (first and second films), and Broken Olive Branch, bringing together filmmakers from around the world .

Launched in 1982, the Fajr International Film Festival has become Iran’s most significant cinematic gathering, annually hosting filmmakers from both Iran and around the world.

The festival’s main award is the Crystal Simorgh, presented alongside the Honorary Diploma and the Golden Plaque to outstanding films and artists. The Audience Choice Award is also one of the festival’s most popular sections.

In addition to its national sections such as Competition of Iranian Cinema (Sodaye Simorgh), New Look (Negahe No), and Animation, the international segment also includes programs like World Panorama (Jame Jahan-Nama), Cinema Salvation, and Festival of Festivals.
