Hojjat al-Salam wal-Muslimin Khosrupanah, the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, held a meeting with Victorino Mapa Manalo, the head of the National Commission for Culture and Arts of the Republic of the Philippines. In this meeting, he emphasized the importance of scientific cooperation between the two countries.

 

According to the Media and Public Relations Center of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, Hojjatul-Islam wal-Muslimin Abdul Hossein Khosrupanah, while referencing his visit to the Philippines, praised the country's civilization and highlighted the abundance of professors and scientists among its population.

In addition, he commended the art of Philippine handicrafts, singling out the beauty of oyster handicrafts produced in the country.

 

Professor Khosrupanah pointed to cultural similarities between Iran and the Philippines, particularly in areas like family values and societal issues. He explained that the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution plays a crucial role in these domains and is the highest authority, as it includes leaders from the three branches of government, ministers, and prominent intellectuals.

 

He went on to discuss various strategic documents of the Supreme Council, such as the comprehensive scientific map of the country and its subordinate documents, which include those related to air and space, medicinal plants and traditional medicine, and food security. Professor Khosrupanah emphasized that the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution operates under the guidance of the Supreme Leader of Iran.

 

The Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution highlighted the profound importance of science and culture in the eyes of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution. He mentioned that the Supreme Leader frequently engages with university professors, elites, and students, underscoring his commitment to advancing science and technology in the nation.

 

He regarded Iran and the Philippines as friendly and fraternal nations and expressed Iran's readiness to share the achievements of science and technology governance. He proposed establishing close relationships between professors from both countries to foster scientific and civilizational dialogue.

 

Moreover, Professor Khosrupanah urged the development of Farsi language education in the Philippines, particularly for the Iranian community residing there. He emphasized that future generations of Iranians in the Philippines require access to Farsi language education, suggesting the need for necessary measures to be taken in this regard.

Preparing for the Exchange of Handicrafts with Iran

 

Victorino Mapa Manalo, the head of the National Commission for Culture and Arts of the Republic of the Philippines, extended his gratitude to Professor Khosrupanah and congratulated the Islamic Republic of Iran on its achievements in science and technology. He emphasized the shared value of family in both countries.

 

Mr. Manalo expressed a warm welcome for economic exchanges with Iran and affirmed their interest in promoting cultural exchanges, particularly in the realm of handicrafts.

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution and the head of the National Commission for Culture and Arts of the Republic of the Philippines exchanged gifts showcasing the handicrafts of their respective countries.
