Holding of a Seminar titled Imam Khomeini and Confrontation with Global Arrogance: Foundations and Strategies

Coinciding with the 36th anniversary of the passing of the late founder of the Islamic Revolution, His Eminence Imam Khomeini (may God’s mercy be upon him), and its concurrence with the spiritual days of Hajj and the necessity of proclaiming disavowal (Barā’ah) from polytheists and oppression in the international arena, a specialized seminar titled “Imam Khomeini and Confrontation with Global Arrogance: Foundations and Strategies” was held on Wednesday, June 4, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the conference hall of the Cultural Section of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Manila, with the presence of a group of prominent academic, cultural, and religious figures as well as women's rights activists.

Presence of the Cultural Counselor in the Empowerment Program for Local Governments on Halal Culture Enterprises

As part of ongoing cultural and artistic engagement with international organizations, and following an official invitation from the United Nations Association of the Philippines (UNAP), the Cultural Counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran participated and delivered a speech at the event titled “Empowering Local Governments on Halal Culture for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises: Torchbearers of Culture and Rich Heritage in the Philippines.”

Commemoration Ceremony for the First Anniversary of the Martyrdom of the Late President Ayatollah Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi and a Group of Loyal Servants of the Islamic Republic in Manila

On the first anniversary of the martyrdom of the late President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, along with a group of his devoted companions, a commemoration ceremony was held on Thursday, May 23, 2025 (1 Khordad 1404), at the Cultural Section of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Manila. The event was attended by members of the Iranian community residing in the Philippines and supporters of the Islamic Revolution.

Commemoration Ceremony for Hakim Abolqasem Ferdowsi and preservation of the Persian Language at the University of the Philippines (UP)

On the occasion of the anniversary of the commemoration of Hakim Abolqasem Ferdowsi and in preservation of the Persian language, a special event was organized by the Cultural Section of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Manila in collaboration with the Department of Linguistics at the University of the Philippines.

Upon the invitation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), Mr. Abdolmajid Abolghasemi, the Cultural Counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Manila, participated on Monday, April 28, 2025 (corresponding to 8 Ordibehesht 1404 in the Iranian calendar), in the opening ceremony of the 50th National Qur’an Recitation Competition.

Coinciding with the observance of Food Month in the Philippines, the Cultural Section of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran participated in the Halal Food Festival titled “Eid Mubarak: A Celebration of Islamic Heritage in the Philippines and Beyond.

Participation of the Cultural Section of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the International Open Library: “Boundless Stories”

In line with the implementation of the cultural exchange program between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of the Philippines, and concurrently with the observance of Literature Month in the Philippines, the Cultural Section of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran participated in the International Open Library: Boundless Stories by contributing 260 volumes of books on cultural, literary, and historical subjects.

Participation of the Cultural Counselor in the Iftar Ceremony of the Chairman of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos

At the invitation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), Mr. Abdolmajid Abolghasemi and Hojjatoleslam Mr. Saeed Ghofrallahi attended an Iftar banquet on March 19, 2025, in Manila. The event, themed "A Season for Cultivating Good Deeds," was attended by Islamic country representatives and highlighted NCMF's mission to improve the conditions of Filipino Muslims. Chairman Sebudin N. Abdurahim emphasized the importance of unity among Muslims and called for prayers and support for the oppressed people of Gaza. The event also featured a Qur’an recitation by Datu Yahya Sangi and messages from distinguished guests, including Supreme Court Justice Japar B. Dimaampao and Undersecretary Datu Zamzamin L. Ampatuan.

Celebration of Nowruz 1404 in Manila

Coinciding with the holy nights of Qadr and the beginning of the Persian New Year 1404—and in light of the necessity to honor the martyrdom anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him)—a Nowruz celebration was held with the aim of preserving and promoting cultural identity and solidarity among Iranians abroad. The event was organized by the Cultural Section of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and took place on Wednesday, Farvardin 13, 1404 (April 2, 2025), which also marked Nature Day, in the Cultural Section’s assembly hall.
