Examining the ways to strengthen bilateral tourism relations between Iran and the Philippines
In the meeting of our country's Ambassador and Cultural Concealer with the Philippine Minister of Tourism, ways to strengthen bilateral tourism relations between the two countries were discussed.
According to the Public Relations report of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Yousef Esmaeil Zadeh, Ambassador and Abdolmajid Abolghasemi, Cultural Concealer of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Philippines, met and discussed with Mrs. Cristina Garcia Frasco, the Minister of Tourism of the Philippines regarding ways to strengthen bilateral tourism relations in her office.
Esmaeil Zadeh considered the holding of such meetings as a factor in strengthening and expanding relations between the two Asian countries and said: Iran, with its ancient civilizational history and historical and cultural monuments known in the world and religious tourism attractions, has been able to attract foreign tourists by preserving traditional manners and customs.
Referring to the beginning of the 60th year of diplomatic relations between the two countries this year and the agreements made in the political consultative meeting in November, he considered it necessary to set up an executive program within the framework of the existing cooperation memorandum.
Iran's ambassador to the Philippines while proposing to hold a virtual meeting between the ministries of the two countries to exchange experiences, announced the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to develop tourism in the fields of trade, health and pilgrimage.
He invited the Minister of Tourism of the Philippines to take advantage of a suitable opportunity to visit the tourist attractions of Iran in order to consolidate the cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism and exploit the position of the Philippines to enter the tourism field of the ASEAN/A.SE.AN Organization.
In her speech, Ms. Cristina García Frasco emphasized the further strengthening of bilateral cooperation at the beginning of the 60th year of diplomatic relations between the two countries highly commendable and stated: The Islamic Republic of Iran, considering its vast and extensive capacity in the field of tourism, can have valuable collaborations in various dimensions with Philippines, the results of which will definitely be very beneficial for the two countries and the people of the two lands.
She continued: Currently, the Philippines is collaborating with various countries in the field of tourism industry development, and in this regard, an exhibition is going to be held in Cebu City in the summer of this year with the cooperation of the United Nations and the presence of tourism agencies, and this is the best opportunity to exchange experiences and The expansion of the tourism industry.
The Minister of Tourism of the Philippines stated: This country with its numerous islands and beautiful beaches is one of the main tourist destinations in the world. Many tourists from different countries travel to this country every year to see the natural attractions and tourism, and we intend to provide special facilities to attract a large number of tourists.
In the end, both sides, while expressing their satisfaction with this meeting, emphasized the need to follow up on the issues raised and they also committed exchanging tourism books and gifts.
